Rep. Betty McCollum, U.S. Congresswoman representing Minnesota’s 4th district since 2001, used her social media accounts on November 10 and 11, 2025, to express gratitude for members of the U.S. Marine Corps and to honor veterans on Veterans Day.
On November 10, McCollum acknowledged the anniversary of the Marine Corps by posting: "Today, @USMC celebrates 250 years of protecting and serving the American people. On behalf of a grateful nation, I thank all Marines and Marine Corps veterans for serving our nation with honor, courage, and commitment. Semper Fi."
The following day, she marked Veterans Day with a statement recognizing those who have served in the military: "Today we honor America’s veterans—the men and women who answered the call to serve. Our gratitude must be reflected in action: ensuring quality health care, education, and opportunity for every veteran and their family. " This message was posted on November 11.
Later that same day, McCollum participated in a local event in Stillwater to commemorate Veterans Day alongside community members. She wrote: "Proud to join the Stillwater community in honoring our nation’s heroes this Veterans Day. Thank you to the Stillwater Area HS Band, Stillwater Veterans Memorial, and all veterans and their families who helped make today’s ceremony so meaningful." The post highlighted her engagement with constituents during local observances.
