Minnesota State Senator Eric Pratt recently posted on social media about his participation in community events and the commemoration of Purple Heart Day. His posts highlighted both his engagement with local residents and the recognition of military service.
On August 8, 2025, Pratt wrote, "Purple Heart Day, observed annually on August 7th, honors the sacrifices of U.S. service members who have been wounded or killed in action. The day commemorates the oldest military award still in use, the Purple Heart medal, which was first established by George Washington in https://t.co/GGpi61Ifob". Purple Heart Day is recognized each year to honor American military personnel who have been injured or lost their lives while serving. The Purple Heart medal remains one of the most significant awards within the U.S. armed forces.
Two days later, on August 9, Pratt shared his experience at a local event: "Having a great time with Representative Ben Bakeberg at Prior Lake Days talking with small business owners and local residents. I was really impressed with the kids market were young entrepreneurs are running their own small businesses! Thanks Prior Lake Chamber of Commerce for https://t.co/7VqCXGeohU". This post underscored his involvement at Prior Lake Days alongside Representative Ben Bakeberg and praised young entrepreneurs participating in a kids market.
Later that same day, Pratt posted again about another aspect of the event: "Great turnout at the Prior Lake Chamber of Commerce Prior Lake Days Sip & Stroll…It’s so much fun! I appreciate everyone’s support and encouragement! https://t.co/B5QZxUqvhq". He acknowledged community support during the "Sip & Stroll," part of festivities organized by the Prior Lake Chamber of Commerce.
Eric Pratt represents Minnesota's Senate District 55 and has served since 2013.
