Minnesota State Representative Nathan Nelson (R–Hinckley) was sworn in for the 2025 legislative session at a ceremony held at the State Capitol in St. Paul, alongside 66 other Republican state representatives.
"This legislative session, my focus will be on the things that matter most to the people of Minnesota—making our state more affordable, safer, and accountable to taxpayers,” said Nelson. “I am committed to fighting for the priorities that will help families, communities, and businesses thrive in Minnesota. From eliminating fraud and waste in government to improving our schools and ensuring that tax dollars are spent wisely, I’m here to work for a stronger future for everyone.”
Nelson will serve as Republican Vice Chair on the Children and Families Finance and Policy Committee during the 2025-2026 biennium. He will also participate as a member of both the Agriculture Finance and Policy Committee and the Environment and Natural Resources Finance and Policy Committee.
“I’m ready to get to work with my colleagues to make these priorities a reality,” Nelson added. “Minnesotans deserve a government that is efficient, accountable, and focused on their needs. I’m committed to working around the clock for the people of our district and our state.”
