Her tweets from April 11 and April 12, 2025, reflect her active engagement with constituents and her stance on national policy issues.
On April 11, 2025, McCollum expressed her enthusiasm for participating in a town hall event, stating "I’m looking forward to joining Senate Majority Leader Erin Murphy and State Representatives Kaohly Her, Samakab Hussein, Liz Lee, Maria Isa Pérez-Vega, Dave Pinto, Jay Xiong, and Leigh Finke for a town hall tomorrow at 1pm. In a subsequent post on April 12, McCollum delivered a critique of specific political actions, noting: "Elon Musk and President Trump are illegally and unconstitutionally cutting services that Americans rely on. While Republicans are cheering them on, my fellow Democrats and I are fighting back." This statement underscores her opposition to proposed cuts to public services.
Further emphasizing her dedication to safeguarding essential services for her constituents, McCollum tweeted, "I’ll continue to resist Republican efforts to take away food, healthcare, and government services that Minnesotans rely on."
