Rep. Betty McCollum, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Minnesota's 4th District, shared a series of statements on Twitter addressing various national and international issues. Representing her constituents since 2001, McCollum often engages with both local and broader topics.

On March 29, 2025, McCollum acknowledged National Vietnam War Veterans Day, urging the public to recognize the service of Vietnam War veterans. She stated, "On this National Vietnam War Veterans Day, let us honor, remember, and extend our gratitude to all who served our nation during the Vietnam War Era."

The following day, March 30, 2025, McCollum turned to international communities and religious observances, wishing a peaceful Eid al-Fitr to Muslims both in Minnesota and worldwide. She expressed, "Eid Mubarak! As the holy month of Ramadan draws to a close, I’m wishing Muslims in Minnesota and around the globe a joyous and peaceful #EidAlFitr."

In a tweet dated March 31, 2025, McCollum applauded a judicial decision that preserved the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) from being dismantled. She contributed to the case by participating in an amicus brief with over 200 other House Democrats. McCollum remarked, "In a win for consumers, a federal Judge halted the dismantling of the CFPB over the weekend. I joined over 200 House Democrats in an amicus brief for this very case to defend CFPB. If Donald Trump wants to avoid courts ruling against him, he should stop doing illegal things."
