On March 29, 2025, McCollum acknowledged National Vietnam War Veterans Day, urging the public to recognize the service of Vietnam War veterans. The following day, March 30, 2025, McCollum turned to international communities and religious observances, wishing a peaceful Eid al-Fitr to Muslims both in Minnesota and worldwide. In a tweet dated March 31, 2025, McCollum applauded a judicial decision that preserved the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) from being dismantled. She contributed to the case by participating in an amicus brief with over 200 other House Democrats. McCollum remarked, "In a win for consumers, a federal Judge halted the dismantling of the CFPB over the weekend. I joined over 200 House Democrats in an amicus brief for this very case to defend CFPB. If Donald Trump wants to avoid courts ruling against him, he should stop doing illegal things."
