Rep. Betty McCollum, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Minnesota’s 4th district since 2001, has expressed her views on several pressing issues through recent tweets. Her posts highlight her stance on a Republican funding bill, concerns over constitutional rights violations, and criticism of the Trump Administration's environmental policies.

On March 11, 2025, Rep. McCollum criticized a proposed Republican funding bill in a tweet, stating: "This Republican funding bill is a disaster. I'm voting no."

In another tweet dated March 12, 2025, she addressed issues related to Mahmoud Khalil's detention by the Trump Administration. She asserted that "The Trump Administration is violating Mahmoud Khalil's first amendment rights. He must be allowed to speak with his attorneys privately, and his constitutional rights must be respected. The conditions and location of his detention are unacceptable."

Further expressing her concerns about environmental policies under the Trump Administration, Rep. McCollum tweeted on March 13, 2025: "The Trump Administration is more interested in maximizing the profits of giant corporations than protecting the health of you and your family. They are polluting the mission of the Environmental Protection Agency."
