Rep. Betty McCollum, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Minnesota's 4th district, has recently expressed her concerns over several actions and statements by former President Donald Trump through a series of tweets.

On February 19, 2025, Rep. McCollum criticized former President Trump for allegedly misrepresenting the origins of the war in Ukraine. She stated, "Trump is lying. Ukraine did not start this war." She emphasized that Russian military actions have resulted in numerous civilian casualties.

Later that day, on February 19, 2025, she addressed proposals to reduce social welfare programs, asserting that "President Trump & @HouseGOP want to cut Medicaid and food assistance for millions" while also pointing out an increase in national debt despite these cuts.

On February 20, 2025, Rep. McCollum accused President Trump of unjustly dismissing Minnesotans from public service positions. She argued that "President Trump is wrongfully firing Minnesotans serving the American public," highlighting the broader implications for essential services.
