McCollum highlighted an upcoming event by the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans: "The Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans will hold its Winter Salute this Wednesday (9 AM - 2 PM) at Target Field. The event will include a holiday meal, resource fair, and supportive services for homeless or at-risk service members." This event aims to provide support and resources to veterans in need.
Later that day, McCollum commented on significant political changes in Syria: "The collapse of the brutal regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is a triumph for justice. It's also a major blow to the forces that have propped up this ruthless regime – Iran, Russia, and Hezbollah." She expressed her view that these developments represent a victory for justice against oppressive regimes.
