St. Paul home prices rose in the first quarter of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2021 in St. Paul rose by $16,000 while total sales decreased by 0.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2021, there were 688 homes sold, with a median sale price of $236,000 - a 7.3% increase over the $220,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 694 homes sold in St. Paul in the first quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in St. Paul for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $3,106, approximately 1.3% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2021.
