The Veterans Virtual Career Fair is open to employers offering good-paying jobs and veterans and their spouses who are looking for those jobs, according to a recent Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) news release.

"We want to invite all Minnesota military veterans and active service members, including National Guard members and reservists, and their spouses to meet employers who recognize and appreciate your military experience," DEED Commissioner Steve Grove said in the news release issued Nov. 9. "If you’re looking for work now, or are considering a career move, this is a great opportunity to hear from hundreds of employers, meet virtually with those that interest you and share your skills and experience with them.”

DEED and the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs are inviting veterans and employers to participate in this year’s 14th annual Veterans Career Fair, scheduled online from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19.

Employers participating in the virtual event "are encouraged to offer full-time positions with family-sustaining wages and benefits," the announcement said.

Registration is required for the virtual event, which is open to U.S. military veterans, active service members and their spouses.
