St. Paul home prices rise in May 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in May 2019 in St. Paul rose by $23,000 while total sales increased by 17.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In May 2019, there were 401 homes sold, with a median sale price of $228,000 - a 11.2% increase over the $205,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 342 homes sold in St. Paul in May 2018.

The median sales tax in St. Paul for 2019 was $3,106. In 2018, the median sales tax was $2,772. This marks an increase of 12%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.4%.
