Saint Paul Parks and Recreation issued the following announcement on Feb. 4.
Bundle up and join us on Lake Phalen for Phalen Freeze Fest, an annual celebration of winter. Activities include ice fishing, fire building, arts & crafts, cooking over a fire, snow shoeing, story stroll, and more! Please dress for the weather as most activities are outdoors. Free warm beverages will be available.
NOTE: Many of the parking lots around Lake Phalen are closed. The lot by the activity center will be prioritized for people with limited mobility. Parking is available at Phalen Recreation Center and the Phalen Golf Course but spots are limited so carpooling is highly recommended. Shuttles will be available to drive guests from those lots to the Activities Center.
This is a free event and all are welcome.
