Representative Spencer Igo (R - Wabana Township) has been named a 2025 Legislator of the Year by Housing First Minnesota. The recognition comes in light of his efforts to advance housing affordability and increase homeownership opportunities throughout Minnesota.

Rep. Igo serves as Co-Chair of the House Housing Committee, where he has played a key role in bipartisan initiatives aimed at maintaining affordable housing and supporting long-term stability for residents. His work also emphasizes expanding the variety of available housing options for families across the state.

“I honored to receive this award and echo the sentiment that homeownership should be attainable.,” Rep. Igo said. “We need affordable and diverse housing options that fit every stage of life. It is by creating that environment in housing we can create stability for all Minnesotans so they can build a secure future right here at home.”
