Rep. Betty McCollum, U.S. Congresswoman representing Minnesota’s 4th district since 2001, shared a series of posts between September 13 and September 15, 2025, highlighting local community milestones and cultural events.

On September 13, McCollum congratulated a local city in her district: "Congratulations to the City of Lake Elmo and its residents as they celebrate their 100th anniversary as a local government and community. Wishing all a safe and festive time with family, friends, and neighbors."

Later that day, she commented on her attendance at a neighborhood music festival: "I had a fantastic time attending the annual Selby JazzFest this weekend – an incredible celebration of music, food, and community. Thank you to Walker|West Music Academy and the Knight Foundation for supporting this event and providing a space for local businesses and artists" (September 13).

On September 15, McCollum recognized achievements in the arts: "Congratulations to Arthur Sze, our next Poet Laureate! I am looking forward to supporting his work at the @librarycongress 'to recognize, celebrate and appreciate the power of poetry.' Thank you Ada Limón, who ends her tenure as Poet Laureate in October."
