Rep. Betty McCollum, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Minnesota's 4th district, has recently shared her views on several pressing issues through social media posts. Her statements cover topics ranging from local infrastructure developments to national security concerns and political controversies.

On March 22, 2025, Rep. McCollum highlighted the inauguration of the Gold Line as a significant advancement for the East Metro region. She stated that the project was completed "on time" and "under budget," emphasizing its role in connecting Minnesotans to essential services and activities. "Starting today, the Gold Line will serve as a vital link for the future of the East Metro and our entire region, connecting Minnesotans to jobs, schools, medical appointments, shopping, and community activities."

On March 24, 2025, she expressed concern over national security protocols being violated by high-ranking officials from the Trump administration. McCollum described this situation as shocking in its implications for national safety. "This shocking story shows how the highest-ranking Trump administration officials are violating national security protocols designed to protect our nation."

The following day, March 25, 2025, Rep. McCollum criticized Republican leadership in Congress for their support of Elon Musk and former President Trump despite ongoing legal challenges. She noted that Democrats have successfully obtained court orders against what she termed illegal actions by Republicans controlling both legislative chambers. "Republicans controlling the House and Senate are giving a blank check to Elon Musk and President Trump. But they’re losing in court: 130 lawsuits have been filed against their illegal actions. Democrats have already won 50 orders blocking these violations."
