Rep. Betty McCollum, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Minnesota's 4th district, has been actively engaging with her constituents and addressing healthcare issues through a series of tweets.

On March 18, 2025, McCollum highlighted the importance of Medicaid by sharing her visit to Gillette Children's Hospital. She stated that "Cuts to Medicaid are cuts to people." During her visit, she spoke with President & CEO Barbara Joers about the necessity of protecting Medicaid for families, seniors, children, and individuals with disabilities in Minnesota.

The following day on March 19, 2025, McCollum invited the public to join her for a virtual town hall event via social media platforms Facebook and Instagram Live. She encouraged participation by inviting questions from the audience: "Join me TONIGHT at 6:30pm for a virtual town hall on Facebook & Instagram Live! Click here to submit questions → https://t.co/6tku6HeGj5"

Later that same day, she reminded her followers of the ongoing event by tweeting: "I am LIVE on Facebook and Instagram right now for a virtual town hall. Tune in!"
