City Of St. Paul issued the following announcement on Mar. 21.
Saint Paul Public Works crews are patching potholes throughout the city with hot mix!
Hot mix is important because it contains the adhesive ingredient that makes the patches more permanent. Cold mix asphalt that is used during the winter months is only temporary for patching efforts.
Please be patient as we start to patch with hot mix. We are prioritizing arterial high volume traffic streets first. Weather permitting we are also working to get the city-owned asphalt plant open in early April.
