Twenty-Three Years in Law Enforcement.

Twenty-three years in law enforcement. Our first Latina commander. The 2022 National Latino Police Officer Association Latina of the Year.

Commander Pamela Barragan started her career with the Saint Paul Police Department as a community liaison officer. In 1999, she became a police officer and was assigned to Saint Paul’s West Side neighborhood.

In her 23 year career, Commander Barragan has been committed to bridging the gap between law enforcement and the Latino community. We’re proud to have her as a leader within the Saint Paul Police Department.

Commander Barragan was presented with the 2022 Latina of the Year award this weekend at the National Latino Police Officer Association conference in San Diego, CA.

Congratulations, Commander!
