Minnesota Department Of Corrections issued the following announcement on Mar. 25.
Today, throughout the Department of Corrections and State of Minnesota, we honor the life and service of MCF-Red Wing Corrections Officer Lee Hackbarth, who sadly passed away on December 10th, 2021. The DOC and Red Wing team lost a dedicated employee, friend, and brother to all who worked with him.
Flags throughout Minnesota are lowered to half-staff today. We will never forget our fallen colleague.
