Saint Paul Parks and Recreation issued the following announcement on Dec. 26.
Open downhill ski and snowboarding at Como Park Ski Center will begin on Fri., Jan 1 at 10 a.m. We have been busy making snow, and with cooperation from Mother Nature the hill is in great shape. Note: due to ongoing public health guidance, reservations must be made in advance for all equipment rentals. Visit the link below to reserve an equipment rental timeslot. *Walk-ups for equipment rentals will not be allowed.*
XC Ski- With additional snowfall expected, crews will be grooming cross- country ski trails at Como, Phalen and Highland 9 golf courses. Please refer to www.skinnyski.com for the latest conditions and firsthand reports. We will provide additional trail updates here as they become available.
We are also exploring the potential to groom a track at Crosby Farm Regional Park as equipment and conditions allow. Stay tuned for additional details.
Lessons: we still have some openings for XC, downhill ski and snowboarding lessons. All lesson registrations must be received by Dec. 31, 2020 and can be done at the link below.
