Tina Smith's campaign committee refunded $6,705 in May

The campaign committee of Democratic Party candidate Tina Smith, Tina Smith for Minnesota, refunded $6,705 in May, according to data from the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

Candidates can refuse or return contributions for a variety of reasons. Contributions may be refunded, for instance, in the event that the candidate does not want to be affiliated with a contributor, a contribution exceeds legal limits, or the candidate withdraws from a race.

Tina Smith for Minnesota has refunded $31,566 total since the beginning of the 2020.
