St. Paul home prices rise in October 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in October 2018 in St. Paul rose by $10,050 while total sales increased by 29.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In October 2018, there were 381 homes sold, with a median sale price of $195,000 - a 5.4% increase over the $184,950 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 294 homes sold in St. Paul in October 2017.

The median sales tax in St. Paul for 2018 was $2,772. In 2017, the median sales tax was $2,566. This marks an increase of 8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.4%.
