St. Paul home prices rise in December 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in December 2018 in St. Paul rose by $23,645 while total sales increased by 52.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In December 2018, there were 312 homes sold, with a median sale price of $198,195 - a 13.5% increase over the $174,550 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 204 homes sold in St. Paul in December 2017.

The median sales tax in St. Paul for 2018 was $2,772. In 2017, the median sales tax was $2,566. This marks an increase of 8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.4%.
