The University of St. Thomas women’s basketball team secured a 73-43 victory over Omaha on Saturday at Lee & Penny Anderson Arena in St. Paul, Minnesota. The win marked the team’s third consecutive victory and improved their overall record to 13-13, with a 6-6 mark in Summit League play.
Faith Feuerbach led the Tommies with 13 points, shooting 5-for-6 from the field and making two of three attempts from beyond the arc. Alyssa Sand contributed 12 points on perfect shooting (6-for-6), grabbed seven rebounds, blocked one shot, and recorded three steals. Sand also became the first player for St. Thomas in more than ten years to tally over 60 steals in a single season.
Jada Hood and Autumn McCall each added 12 points for St. Thomas, while Kammie Ludwig scored six points during senior day celebrations.
The Tommies established an early lead with a strong first quarter, limiting Omaha to two field goals and finishing ahead by ten points. The momentum continued into the second quarter as St. Thomas extended its advantage to as many as 18 points before halftime.
In the third quarter, St. Thomas opened with a decisive run that put the game out of reach for Omaha, shooting nearly 70 percent from the floor during that period. The team maintained control throughout the fourth quarter to secure a comfortable win.
This game was notable as it was just the second since head coach Ruth Sinn announced her retirement on February 10, 2026. Under her leadership this season, St. Thomas has now won both games following her announcement.
St. Thomas will travel next to Fargo for a Summit League matchup against North Dakota State on Thursday, February 19.
