Employers in Representative Ben Davis’s district have received over $270,000 through Minnesota’s Dual Training Grant Program, according to an announcement from Davis (R–Mission Twp.) on August 20, 2025. The funding aims to support local businesses by providing resources for employee training that combines on-the-job learning with postsecondary education.

Cuyuna Regional Medical Center was awarded $165,000 to support workforce training in health care. Grand Village in Grand Rapids received $105,600 to advance training in health care services.

“These are reasonable investments that strengthen our workforce and communities,” said Rep. Davis. “By supporting earn-and-learn opportunities, we’re helping Minnesotans build rewarding careers, while ensuring employers have the skilled workforce they need to meet today’s challenges.”

The Dual Training Grant Program is managed by the Office of Higher Education alongside the Department of Labor and Industry and the Department of Employment and Economic Development. It provides funding for employers who collaborate with training providers to create career pathways in high-demand sectors such as health care, manufacturing, and information technology.
