In another tweet on the same day, McCollum criticized President Trump’s temporary pause of what she called an “illegal and unconstitutional shutdown” of the federal government. She stated that this action resulted in confusion and chaos among Americans. She also mentioned “Project 2025,” suggesting it is being followed by the White House as an instruction manual. “President Trump’s temporary pause of his illegal and unconstitutional shutdown of the federal government leaves Americans with more confusion.”
