State Representative Ben Bakeberg, a Republican from Jordan, has issued a statement following the mass shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in South Minneapolis. The incident has left the local community in mourning.
“Today’s tragic shooting at Annunciation Catholic School is heartbreaking and unacceptable. Our family is deeply grieved for the students, families, teachers, and parishioners whose lives were shattered by this senseless act of violence. We are grateful to the first responders whose swift actions prevented further loss of life, and our prayers remain with the entire Annunciation community during this time of unimaginable pain. This is unacceptable, and we must work together to ensure our schools and communities are safe,” Bakeberg said.
The event has prompted renewed calls for action to address school safety concerns in Minnesota.
