Representative Duran of Bemidji has issued a statement in response to the mass shooting that occurred at Annunciation Catholic School in South Minneapolis. The incident has resulted in multiple casualties and injuries among students and adults.
Duran expressed condolences to those affected, stating: “My heart goes out to the families suffering this devastating loss, to every child and adult wounded, and to the first responders, teachers, hospital staff, and community members who showed such courage today.
Children should never face threats in their classrooms, and I’m grateful to those who stepped up to protect and care for them in this moment of tragedy. I am committed to working with our community and school officials to ensure students are safe and protected every time they attend school.”
